Diosmin might trigger a number of negative effects including diarrhea, head ache, and stomach discomfort. In one case statement, diosmin was related to elevated creatine phosphokinase levels and serum lactic dehydrogenase.

Diosmin may interact with medicines, such as the antihistamine fexofenadine, the anti-epileptic medication carbamazepine, as well as anticoagulant medication (sometimes known as "blood thinners").

It should also be mentioned that self-treating any kind of condition with diosmin and avoiding or even delaying standard treatment may have serious implications.
